What to expect
Schedule your MVA road test appointment
Book your road test at the White Oak MVA through the MVA website or by phone. You need an appointment before booking with us.
Choose your package and book with us
Select Test Only, Practice + Test, or Extended Prep + Test based on how much practice you want beforehand.
Complete your practice session(s)
Mr. Mekonnen takes you through the actual test routes near White Oak MVA, covering common failure points.
Take your road test
We arrive at White Oak MVA together. You use our vehicle. Instructor stays present as required.
Preparing for your White Oak MVA road test
White Oak MVA is located at 2131 Industrial Pkwy, Silver Spring, MD 20904. Road tests are by appointment only — book directly at mva.maryland.gov. Here is what to expect on test day.
How the test starts
- ✓The test begins in an off-road area with a reverse two-point turn
- ✓Parallel parking is NOT required on the Maryland road test
- ✓Backup cameras are allowed — but you must also check mirrors and look over your shoulder
Common reasons students fail
- ✓Disobeying traffic signs or signals
- ✓Failing to yield the right-of-way
- ✓Driving too fast or too slowly for conditions
- ✓Too many accumulated minor errors
If you fail
- ✓Maryland requires a minimum 7-day wait before retesting
- ✓Book another prep session — Mr. Mekonnen will target exactly what you struggled with
What to bring
- ✓Valid Maryland learner's permit
- ✓Completed practice skills log and certification page
- ✓If using Circle's vehicle: nothing else — registration and insurance are handled for you
Road test questions
Can I use Circle's car for my road test?
Yes — all our road test prep packages include use of our vehicle. You don't need to bring your own car.
Do I need to schedule my MVA road test appointment myself?
Yes — you schedule your test appointment directly with the MVA at mva.maryland.gov. Once you have a test date, book your prep package with us.
What if I fail my road test?
Maryland requires a 7-day wait before retesting. Book another session with us and Mr. Mekonnen will focus practice on exactly what you struggled with.
Is parallel parking on the Maryland road test?
No — parallel parking is not required on the Maryland road test as of 2026.
